A special thanks goes to AMA Pro Racing's Bill Nordquist for taking the time to get these shots!

Your 1999 250cc Mazda Trucks Motocross Champion Greg Albertyn. Last year Greg played runner-up to Doug Henry.

Greg convinced the nearly 20,000 in attendance he definitely deserved the title. He won both motos.

It's Suzuki's first 250cc AMA National Motocross title since Kent Howerton did it last in 1981!

Everybody wants a piece of the new champ.

Albee and his team manager Roger DeCoster. It's been a long, hard road to the title for these two. DeCoster believed in Albee a lot longer than many thought he should have.

You won't see this number on Albee's bike next year.

Here's a regular sight: Ricky Carmichael in victory circle. He clinched his 3rd-straight 125cc title a few races back.

Doug Henry went 10-8 for 10th overall to finish his full-time motocross career Sunday.

A Steel City fav, Henry and his wife, Stacey, did a farewell lap after the racing was over.

The sport of motocross racing will suffer with the loss of Henry to retirement.

Yamaha of Troy's Casey Johnson finished 5th with a 10-4, and ended the season in 9th.

Casey Lytle went 14-9 for 9th overall Sunday.

It can be argued that if you haven't ever been to Steel City you haven't been to a motocross National. If you sit in the right spot, you can see the entire track. Hint: If you want a room at a hotel in the area for next year's race, make your reservations now!

Larry Ward went 2-10 for 4th overall.

Chaparral Yamaha's Jimmy Button's come on strong the last few races, finishing 3rd Sunday with a 4-3. Button won his first National at Washougal and finished second the two rounds since then and Sunday.

Toward the end of the series, Honda's Kevin Windham was Albee's closest threat for the title. Albee would have had to have had some bad luck Sunday for Windham to win. As it was, Windham finished second (3-2), 29 points behind Albee in the final series point standings.

Here Windham is between John Dowd (who struggled this year with injuries) and Button.
