Ernesto Fonseca, the recently crowned AMA 125cc Eastern Region Supercross champ, has found the Nationals a bit more daunting. The so-called "next McGrath" is in 12th in the points. Will Ernesto evolve into a Supercross-only specialist?

Ricky Carmichael looked as strong as ever, taking the Overall with two Moto wins.

The '99 AMA 125cc Western Region Supercross champ, Casey Johnson, went 4-4 and 4. He sits 5th in points behind a younger rising star and '97 AMA Motocross Horizon Award winner.

Ricky is back to his winning ways on the 125. The jump to 250s this past Supercross season was more of an adjustment than everyone thought it would be -- including Ricky himself.

Another look at the track.

Michael Brandes rounding a turn near the start/finish line. He finished 2-3 and is 3rd in 125cc points behind Tallon Vohland.

An overview of High Point Raceway. Set in Western Pennsylvania you can see it's a beautiful setting providing many natural good seats.

Brandes getting interviewed.

Ricky discussing the afternoon with Davey Coombs for ESPN2.

You may wonder who Tallon Vohland is, and where he came from. He's an American who's been contesting the Grand Prix Series in Europe for years with some success. He's come back home this year and is Ricky's closest competition, 21 points behind in second.

Replenishing needed liquids after a hard, warm day at the office.

The Mazda sponsorship has meant has done so much to the series, from the riders to the fans. Here, in the Mazda tent, fans get autographs from Tim Ferry and Steve Lamson. Ferry was just signed by the Chaparral Yamaha team this past week to ride with Lammy.

Kevin Windham went 2-5 to finish 4th overall. He stands fifth in points.

Another mainstay at each National is the RacerX Illustrated tent. Go here too for free stuff.

Your High Point Raceway winner Greg Albertyn! Getting horizontal.

Albee won both motos for the Overall. The wins moves him up to 3rd in points behind Tortelli and Lusk.

Enjoying the center spot at the victory podium.

John Dowd went 7-11 for the 8th spot.

Not sure what happened after both of Takeshi Koikeda's wheels came down after this.

After placing 13th in Moto 1, Lammy finished last in the second moto for 18th overall.

Mike Larocco struggled with a 14-13 and ended up 13th overall. After an strong start to the season, he's sixth in points right now. But there's nine more races to go. This veteran be around at the end.

Your 250cc series points leader Sebastien Tortelli finished 2nd overall with a 3-2.

Sebastien leads Lusk by 11 points. Without any bad luck for Lusk, look for these two to go head-to-head all season! Lusk went 4-3 for 3rd overall.

Larry Ward finished 15th overall with 16-14 moto finishes.

After placing second in moto 1, Windham slipped up in the important moto 2, placing 5, and finishing 4th overall. He's in fifth place in the series a few points behind Jeff Emig who went 8-12 for 9th overall.

Back in to racing in the hot and humid summer sun, Doug Henry is getting back to speed after spending the winter snowmobile racing. He went 5-15 for 10th overall. Doug's 9th in points right now.
