Here's the scoop: Each Qualifying Session page displays qualifying results from each rider in that session. Most classes have two sessions (depending on the size of the field) and sometimes one session is run on one day and the second on the next. Combined Qualifying Results show the combined qualifying results from the Qualifying Sessions, the pole position winner and the order of the starting grid. Overall Point Standings show the series' overall points and wins for each rider. All race results are Provisional until the Official results are sent in soon after.

MBNA Superbike Tour Championship Points Distribution

In all AMA championship road racing classes, points are awarded to the first 30 finishers in the final. NOTE: One point is awarded (in Superbike only) to the rider claiming pole position, and one point is awarded in all classes to the rider or team that leads the most laps (ties will be broken by the rider or team that led last).

Video: Passing shot of Ben Bostrom(120K)| A very quick look at the new Yamaha R7 (128K)

Some may claim that the Bostroms are on a different wavelength, but even Ben doesn't look too sure about what's coming out of Steve Crevier's mouth right now.

Ben and Leann Tweeden, his girlfriend, masseuse, and whatever else she wants to be.

Nicky Hayden's Formula Xtreme Honda CBR900RR

Crev and crew

Father Earl Hayden and 1967-68 AMA Grand National champ Gary Nixon. Gary's coaching Nicky.

Now wouldn't you just love to know what they're saying to each other?

Anthony Gobert taking the for Friday morning practice.

Peace mate!

The Honda team looking over the fast times during Friday morning's practice session.

Miguel's still been slowed by injury and a couple of crashes since his Daytona heroics. Can he rebound to his form of last year? He was third-fastest in this morning's practice.

Georgian Mike Smith's VTR1000. He filled in admirably for Scott Russell.

Nicky and Gary. Notes to Larry Pegram: I'll see your Kevin Schwantz and raise you with Gary Nixon. Generation gaps don't matter here.

AMA Pro Racing Communications Manager Bill Nordquist testing out one of Aprillia's new scooters. Looks like it works fine, hey Bill?

Jason Pridmore.

The Yamaha R7 is going to be raced for the first time in America this weekend. It didn't take long for the R7 to win a World Superbike race, will it fare as well here?

Can I have one? What do you mean my credit's no good!

Don't fiddle with too much here guys, your riders Jamie Hacking and Rich Oliver posted the two fastest times in this morning's Superbike practice.

Local boy Scott Russell. Will he done good?

Another local boy is Aaron Yates. He's from Milledgeville.

Aaron isn't the only racing Yates. Read about a grueling media tour Aaron and his sister, Ann, went on with Bill Nordquist Wednesday. It's in News & Notes.
