Year-end ranking 2003 4th (SB), 23rd (Supersport) Career Highlights 2003 Ben earned six AMA Superbike podium finishes, including a second-place at the Daytona Intl Speedway season opener… He entered select rounds of the AMA Supersport Championship, his best result a sixth-place at Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway… Raced with American Honda team. 2002 Bostrom competed in the World Superbike Championship with the L&M Ducati team, completed the season ranked 5th in points. 2001 Bostrom raced in the World Superbike Championship, completed the season ranked 3rd in points. 2000 World Superbike competitor Bostrom entered the AMA Superbike race
at Willow Springs. In the WSC, he took two podium finishes at Valencia, 1999 Bostrom took the AMA Superbike win at Brainerd Int'l Raceway, six additional podium finishes and won the U.S. round of the FIM World Superbike at Laguna Seca... He was in contention for the series title again, finishing just ten points behind 1999 AMA Superbike Champ Mat Mladin... Rode with Vance & Hines Ducati...Called up to Ducati World Superbike team for 2000. 1998 Bostrom won the 1998 AMA MBNA Superbike Championship, finishing outside the top-five just twice all season, and taking podium finishes at both rounds of the Road Atlanta "Big Kahuna" doubleheader, Road America and the season finale at Las Vegas Motors Speedway...Ben also contested the Pro Honda Oils 600 SuperSport series, taking the series win at Atlanta and a podium finish at New Hampshire Int'l Speedway...Nominated for AMA/Speedvision Athlete of the Year Award...Raced with American Honda. 1997 Ran in the Teamline 750cc SuperSport Series and had four podium finishes...Had three top-10 finishes in MBNA Superbike...Race in Pro Honda Oils 600cc SuperSport, best finish was fourth at Phoenix International Raceway...Rode for Zero Gravity Racing. 1996 Won five SuperTwins finals and was just barely beaten out for the title by arch-rival and friend Matt Wait...Finished either first or second in every SuperTwins race except for Loudon...Earned three podium finishes in the highly competitive 600cc SuperSport class...Raced for Zero Gravity Honda and Bartel's Harley-Davidson. 1995 Raced for Bartel's Harley-Davidson in SuperTwins...Scored an excellent third-place finish in the 750cc SuperSport final at Firebird International Raceway on a Honda CBR600...Won his first AMA National, the SuperTwins final at Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, Ariz. 1994 Best results came at Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca with 10th-place finishes in the Harley SuperTwins finals. 1993 Scored his first AMA National points in road racing with a 27th-place finish in the Harley SuperTwins final at Daytona. |
