Honda factory-backed 1stRacing dirt track team to run AMA Red Bull Supermoto
Championship
American Honda and 1stRacing announced a racing
alliance has been formed to contest all six rounds of the
recently announced AMA Red Bull Supermoto racing series. As a
Honda-backed team, 1stRacing will ride modified versions of the
CRF450R available on your local dealer’s showroom floor. The
CRF450R is a proven competition platform with a long list of
victories and accomplishments.
The team's riders will be two-time and current
K&N Pro Series Dirt Track Champion Terry Poovey and AMA 2001
Ricky Graham Dirt Track Rookie of the Year winner Bryan Smith.
Dirt track rookie Merle Scherb will also ride with the team.
In addition to American Honda, the team is be
sponsored by and based out of Dallas Honda. Additional sponsors
will be Honda Pro Oils & Chemicals, 1stlegal.com, Vanson
Leathers, Emig Racing and A&A Racing.
Roy Plattel, 1stRacing’s Managing Principal is
