If there ever was a track I didn't like, it is the rough and tumble half-mile and "moon-surfaced" clay-groove track in Hagerstown Maryland. This was only my third time on the track and first time on a 450 single. » more

The much dreaded Hagerstown sky let loose at the 1/2 mile on Saturday just after the completion of tech inspection. With the amount of rain that fell it made the track unrideable. Track crews began to wheel pack the surface and continued for hours. » more
This week we were in Lima, Ohio, a historic race track with good old Ohio peagravel. I ran here for the first time last year on the Aprilia twin and had a good time. This year when I walked the track it was really, really deep almost everywhere on the track. It was going to make for some really FUN times especially in the first practice. Lima, Lima, Lima. This is a place that I was looking forward to. I went into this race 5 points behind Kenny Coolbeth and thought that, if things went right, I could close the gap if not take over the points lead. The weather wasn't the normal hot, muggy Lima. It wasn't bad. When we got there the track looked very deep and dry. The last couple of years it seems they were trying to conserve water. » more
