(June 20, 2012) - Celtic Racing travels south to Barber Motorsports Park for the Triumph SuperBike Classic this weekend, the sixth round of the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing season, and the halfway point of the series. The event at Barber counts towards both SuperSport East and West Championships, which means both Celtic Racing riders will be able to collect points at this round. James Rispoli leads the West Championship by 26 points over his closest competitor. Corey Alexander remains in fifth place in the East Championship standings, only 6 points from third in a very competitive field. The next several races sees both riders return to tracks where they have seen success, and the entire team is looking forward to the second half of the season after such a great start.
James Rispoli will ride the #1 Celtic Orient Express Racing Suzuki GSX-R 600 this weekend at Barber, and has been training heavily to prepare. James stated that "Going into Barber I feel really good, training is back to a high level again. The Florida heat has helped me get ready for the heat in 'Bama. We had a winning bike at Road America so we hope to bring that here to Barber and just minimize mistakes on the race track. We won here last here and look to get two W's this weekend and extend our points lead! Thanks to personal sponsors AGV, Dainese, Monster Energy, and Techmount for all their support. Please follow me on Twitter (@JamesRispoli) and Facebook for the latest updates!"
Corey Alexander is excited to be back on the #5 National Guard Fairhills Group Suzuki GSX-R 600 for round six at Barber, at track he knows well from previous visits and that rewards his riding style. Corey stated enthusiastically "After a few more weeks off and coming off a good result at Road America I feel confident going into Barber. Every week my shoulder gets stronger so I'm excited to see what I can do with the great bike I know my National Guard Fairhills Group team will give me. Many thanks to Fairhills Group, Hudson Valley Motorcycle, Spidi Leathers, XPD Boots, and Arai Helmets for all their support. Follow me on Twitter (@Corey5Alexander) for news from the track!"
