Harrington, Delaware half-mile canceled

PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The Harrington, Del., round of the AMA Progressive Insurance U.S. Flat Track Championships, originally scheduled for May 20 but postponed due to rain, has been canceled.

Scheduling conflicts at the Delaware State Fairgrounds prevent the event from being rescheduled this year, said AMA Pro Racing flat track manager Bruce Bober.

"We're sorry to announce the cancellation of the Harrington round of the 2000 AMA Progressive Insurance U.S. Flat Track Championships," Bober said. "It’s always been a great race weekend for teams and fans. We're already working with the race promoters and Fairgrounds staff for a date on our 2001 schedule."

Race organizers refunded all tickets at the gate May 20, after the postponement due to rain was announced. If you have not received a refund, please contact the promoter, Bob Jones, at (717) 697-5000.
