Announces Series Manager
AMA Racing press release
AMA Racing today announced the appointment of Harv Whipple to
the position of Series Manager for AMA Racing’s newly created
Pro ATV Championship. The 2007 AMA ITP/Moose ATV National
Motocross Championships will crown the first-ever AMA Pro ATV
Champion. The new ATV Pro Racing status elevates ATV motocross
racing to the professional level enjoyed by AMA Motocross, AMA
Supercross, AMA Superbike, AMA Supermoto, and AMA Flat Track.
Steve Whitelock, AMA Supercross and Motocross Director,
announced the selection of Whipple, “Harv has done a great job
as our Toyota AMA Arenacross Referee. We believe that his
professionalism and experience will be a perfect fit for the new
AMA Pro ATV Championship.”
Whipple is a former racer and prior to joining AMA Racing held a
position with Live Nation Entertainment.
Whipple’s duties will include overseeing race procedures at
events, as well as development and application of pro racing
rules. According to Whitelock, Whipple will be instrumental in
the future development and direction of the sport.

The 12-round series revs up on March 10-11 with the ATV Southern
Nationals at Mill Creek MX Park, located in Pell City, Ala., and
concludes August 11-12 with the Loretta Lynn’s Dirt Days, in
Hurricane Mills, Tenn.
