AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike Race 1 from the Subway SuperBike Doubleheader saw Josh Hayes finally get back to his racing ways aboard his #1 Monster Energy/Graves Yamaha YZF-R1. Martin Cardenas rode his Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 to a 2nd place finish after battling with Hayes in the opening lap. Roger Hayden brought his National Guard/Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000 to the podium after battling with Foremost Insurance Pegram Racing's Larry Pegram.
