(May 29, 2012) - Mixed weather all weekend and mixed luck kept both Celtic Racing riders from podium finishes in the single AMA Pro Motorcycle-Superstore.com SuperSport event at Miller Motorsports Park on Sunday. James Rispoli fought hard on an unfamiliar track to place his Celtic Orient Express Racing #1 Suzuki GSX-R 600 in second position on the grid for Sunday's race. Corey Alexander would qualify in sixth position on his #5 National Guard Fairhills Group Suzuki GSX-R 600, having visited Miller last season and won the race convincingly in 2011. James took the lead early in Sunday's race, but after three laps began to fade slowly through the pack and would finish eighth, with valuable points towards the championship in hand. Corey had a poor start which dropped him back to 20th position at the beginning of the race, but after regrouping and putting his head down, clawed his way back up to finish eleventh in a field packed with heavy competition. Rispoli holds on to his Motorcycle-Superstore.com SuperSport West points lead, with a solid 21 points over second place.

Celtic Racing moves immediately to Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for the next round of the 2012 season. Rispoli and Alexander both have experience at Road America, and both plan to work towards improved results. Road America is one of North America's finest road courses with challenging turns and a high speed front straight making up the 4 mile long circuit. Alexander and Rispoli both had good results in last season's event at Road America, and everyone is looking forward to a strong rebound forward!

James Rispoli showed his pragmatic side in describing the weekend at Miller, stating "We actually had a good weekend just a bad race. The weekend started off good we started working into a pace. We had a problem with our rear wheel change in Saturday's qualifying, and even with that problem, in the two laps we got we ended up P2. Sunday morning it rained and I got a full session in the rain and had so much fun - got the fear of riding in the rain out. In the race we had a small technical problem and salvaged a 8th and important points. We are looking to have a great Road America and be back on the top step!"

Corey Alexander looks forward to Road America and said that at Miller "The team gave me a great bike and I wasn't able to get it up in the front where we belong. It's unfortunate as I was really hoping for a comeback, especially on such a special weekend for the National Guard. We can only look forward to the next race and better results. Happy Memorial Day to all of those who serve our country! Huge thanks to my crew, the National Guard, Fairhills Group, and everyone sticking behind me."
