Monterey, CA (July, 29, 2012) – LTD Racing's Huntley Nash soldiered to a 16th place finish in the AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike race at Laguna Seca. Nash, in the middle of a season where he’s progressed a great deal in his quest to become a DSB front-runner after winning races in the SuperSport class, got very little track time due to scheduling issues, red flags, and fog in California. Due to the lack of track time, the young racer was left to make a gamble on tires for the race. After the race, Nash wasn’t happy with his choice.

“We didn’t get any track time, basically, after we made some changes on Friday. In the warm-up, we had a limited time to check things out,” said Huntley. “The bike didn’t really feel that welcoming to me, but I figured it was possibly because we had a tire with some laps on it on the bike, and the conditions were not the best. We decided to use the medium tire for the race after running the soft all weekend.”

Nash tried to make ground early in the race, but he wasn’t able to catch onto the leading group. He persevered to do the best he could in the 20-lap race. “During that race, I have never been so sideways in my life. The front was fine but the rear was not. I felt like I was a superhero doing 1:30s, and the riders around me got an entertaining show. The weekend was tough but that’s the way it goes,” said Nash. “We’re looking forward to the next one.”

Nash and LTD Racing return to action at New Jersey Motorsports Park September 7-9.
