(September 11, 2012) - Jake Lewis displayed his fortitude by rebounding in Sundays Race 2 in the AMA Pro SuperSport class finishing on the podium in 3rd place during the American Red Cross Devils Showdown presented by Team ProMotion at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville NJ. Jake now lies in 2nd place in the 2012 AMA Pro SuperSport East championship, 20 points out of the lead.

In the AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike class Cory West came back from being taken out yesterday in Race 1, riding injured and putting in a determined ride to secure a 6th place finish. Joey Pascarella also improved from the day before bringing home a 13th place finish. Cory and Joey remain in 9th and 10th in the 2012 AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike championship.

In the AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike Race 2 Taylor Knapp finished in 7th place on his Riders Discount K&L Supply Suzuki and Tim Bemisderfer got 15th place on his Vesrah Suzuki GSX-R 1000 after running off of the track earlier in the race.

“What a huge day for the team and I! After a really difficult weekend and my worst race of the year yesterday we ended up with a podium today. The crew went back to the basics and made some huge changes to the bike, which made it more comfortable for me to ride. Even though we lost our points lead it was good to be back on the box. I can't thank the whole Riders Discount Vesrah Suzuki team enough for all their hard work and I'm already looking forward to the next round.”

Breeann Poland – Team Manager Riders Discount Vesrah Suzuki
“Jake being able to persevere and bring home a podium finish to keep his SuperSport East championship hopes alive today was awesome. Cory showed his determination by riding through the obvious pain he was in and finishing in 6th in Daytona SportBike. I have to thank the entire team for all of their hard work this weekend and hopefully we can carry this momentum on to the Big Kahuna Miami.”

Cory West – Riders Discount Vesrah Suzuki #57
“Today was a very tough day after yesterday's get off. I pushed as hard as I could to stay with the riders ahead of me and I managed to actually catch and pass them. The last lap was hectic but it was nice to come out on top of my battle for sixth. I'm glad to have scored some valuable points and now it's time to heal up so I can be fully fit for Homestead. Big thanks to the Riders Discount Vesrah Suzuki crew for their hard work and special thanks to Cortech, Shoei, Held, and Sidi for protecting me in my triple digit crash.”

Joey Pascarella – Riders Discount Vesrah Suzuki #52
“This weekend was a rough weekend for me. I just could not come to grips with the track and the bike. I am looking forward to having a better weekend at Miami.”

Taylor Knapp – Riders Discount K&L Supply #44
“The weekend at NJMP went well for me. I ended the weekend with 4th and 7th place finishes. We got off to a slow start on Sunday with a small low-side crash in morning warm up but luckily the bike wasn't that bad and my mechanic Thom got it back together in no time. Still two really solid finishes in a pretty tough crowd so I’m very happy and all I can do is keep pushing as hard as I can with what I have, try and minimize my mistakes and then learn two new tracks to finish the year off strong”
