DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (June 12, 2013) – Cameron Beaubier is undoubtedly off to the hottest start of his young and promising career. After three races, the No. 6 Yamaha Extended Service/Monster Energy Graves Yamaha YZF-R6 rider has been nearly perfect, accounting for two wins, one second-place finish and has acquired pole position in all three races. Only time will tell if Beaubier will be able to keep up the daunting pace he’s started but all signs point to the Californian staying strong over the duration of the GoPro Daytona SportBike season.

“Last year, I left off on a really good note and I was able to carry over that momentum into 2013,” said Beaubier. “I learned a lot last season and I definitely want to continue the form that I’ve started off with this year. I had a tough Race 2 at Road America last week but I’m confident I can regain my composure and move on with the season.”

Beaubier’s reference to his “tough Race 2 performance” last week indicates the young star has set the bar of measuring his own personal success very high for himself; as he finished in second place, just behind a more than worthy opponent in No. 32 RoadRace Factory rider Jake Gagne.

Round 3 action is set to take place at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL. for the Triumph SuperBike Classic presented by America’s First Federal Credit Union on June 21-23, 2013. Beaubier’s clean two-race sweep at this particular event last year indicates that the current GoPro Daytona SportBike points leader will be looking to build off his previous success and early season momentum.

“I’m very confident heading into Barber,” said Beaubier. “I can’t say enough about the track layout and how well I believe it suits my racing style. It’s a fast track with a lot of directional changes and a good flow to it. I’m really looking forward to getting out there and competing again.”

Though Beaubier has drawn the most attention in GoPro Daytona SportBike this season with his incredibly fast start, there is no denying the rest of the vigorously tough lineup that he must compete against for the remainder of the season. There are a lot of strong riders who have stepped up their game in 2013 and are gunning for the top spot.
