Johnstown, Ohio (September 10, 2013) - After mechanical issues at Mid Ohio shortened his weekend of racing, Ryan Kerr and the Ryan Kerr Racing team are ready to get back on the track at Thunderbolt Raceway. Kerr explains, “My first season competing as an AMA Pro SuperBike Rider has been surrounded with ups and downs but I am hopeful for a strong finish in New Jersey!”

We have had some unfortunate setbacks this season with unexpected mechanical problems but we continue to rally and I plan on finishing the season strong. Kerr compares the journey of becoming a top level competitor in motorcycle road racing as a roller coaster ride. Kerr explains, “competing as a privateer in an industry driven by million dollar teams has its highs and lows. My team is comprised of my dad, step dad, grandpa, other family members and close friends. It’s truly a challenge to maintain a high level of competition on our very limited budget with limited team members. Often times, I carry multiple responsibilities at the races ranging from set up, tire changer, mechanic and finally the rider on the track. I know that consistency is the key to becoming a champion and my team and I will continue to strive to be the best and improve at every racing event. I hope that someday I will get my break with some outside help to allow me to show my true talent. But for now, we will continue to push forward and pride ourselves at reaching the top level with pure hard work and devotion to living the dream! “

Ryan Kerr and the Ryan Kerr Racing Team are coming into the Jersey race with a focus of taking everything learned this year and applying it on the track at Thunderbolt Raceway. Kerr states, “I look forward to the upcoming race and I am confident that I will have my strongest finishes of the season in New Jersey.”
