K-Tech Suspension Equipped Racers Enjoy Continued Success In AMA Pro Racing At New Jersey

September 18, 2013 - K-Tech Suspension equipped racers swept the podium in the Vance & Hines XR1200 class, scored two podium spots in SuperSport along with the 2013 SuperSport East championship, a podium and three top ten finishes in Superbike, and two top ten finishes in Daytona Sport Bike this past weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park! To say it was a busy weekend is an understatement!

Hearty congratulations to Corey Alexander for his 2013 AMA Pro Road Racing SuperSport East championship, and second place over all in the national standings. Alexander worked hard all season on his #5 National Guard Celtic Racing Suzuki GSX-R 600, equipped with K-Tech 20DDS fork cartridges and 35DDS Pro rear shock. Arriving at New Jersey Motorsports Park with a nine point lead over his rivals, Corey dominated practice and qualifying and secured pole position on the grid - good for another valuable point. Race one was a furious battle among the top four riders, with Alexander trading the lead several times. After a red flag paused the action, Alexander would resume the action and finish second, just 0.007" from the leader at the checkered flag. In Sunday's race two, Alexander earned a point for most laps led amidst continued close racing in the top four positions. Every corner saw a shuffling of the order, and in another tight finish, Alexander took third, which was enough to secure his 2013 SuperSport East championship by the slimmest of margins!

In the XR1200 class, Steve Rapp took his fifth win of the season on his Aerostar Global Suburban Harley Davidson XR1200, cementing his twenty-two point lead over Travis Wyman in the standings using K-Tech 35MTS dual rear shocks. Tyler O'Hara claimed second spot on the podium with a great ride on his Bartels' Eco Fuel Saver Scubblade JC Racing machine, finishing a tick more than two seconds behind Rapp at the checkered flag. Eric Stump finished third nipping at the heels of O'Hara in a close battle aboard his MOB Racing Eyeball Moto XR1200. O'Hara and Stump were both using K-Tech 25SSK IDS fork cartridges and 35MTS dual rear shocks. All three riders enjoyed the confidence and precision handling offered by their K-Tech Suspension components and we look forward to more great results!

Roger Hayden had a solid weekend with great results on his #54 National Guard Jordan Suzuki GSX-R 1000 in the Superbike class, having qualified fourth on the grid with his K-Tech 20DDS fork cartridge and 35DDS rear shock equipped machine. Saturday's race one was full of action with Hayden battling in the top five and finishing an excellent second behind Herrin. Jordan Suzuki teammate Danny Eslick finished sixth in Saturday's race on his #23 Jordan Suzuki GSX-R 1000, also equipped with K-Tech components. In Sunday's Superbike race, Roger carried on the fight from Saturday with the top four riders, but would have to settle for fourth place, with Eslick fifth behind him.

National Guard Celtic Racing's James Rispoli had a good weekend in Daytona Sport Bike, qualifying sixth and finding speed all weekend - enough to run up front and challenge for a podium position in both races. Rispoli would ride his #43 National Guard Celtic Racing Suzuki GSX-R 600 to finish sixth on Saturday, and eighth on Sunday. His 20DDS fork cartridges and 35DDS Pro rear shock are the same components found in every box K-Tech offers to its customers.
