MONTEREY, Calif. (July 15, 2014) - AMA Pro Harley Davidson Rider Ryan Kerr was excited about traveling west for his first race at Mazda Raceway in Laguna Seca, California on July 12th. Kerr explains, “I have never been to the California track but experts rate the track as one of the most challenging in the AMA Pro Racing Series. Following my weekend; the experts were right and the track put my abilities to the test!”
Kerr’s practice and qualify times improved with every lap but an on the track mistake caused the young rider to crash during the final laps of qualifying. Fortunately the Kyle Wyman Racing team went to work and had his bike race ready. Kerr reflects on the weekend and states, “The weekend was full of ups and downs but overall it was good. The race was a battle and I am happy with my 6th place finish and even more thrilled with my lap times. My times prove that I can ride with the leaders and become a top competitor in this series.
Kerr couldn’t be more excited for the upcoming race this weekend at his hometown track Mid Ohio Sports Car Course! Kerr is hoping to have a good turnout of fans and guarantees to give them an impressive show at his home track. “I invite everyone to come out to Mid Ohio and stop by and say hello at the fan walk. It’s always a great racing event and I appreciate the support of my family and home town fans.”
